A/B comparison · Speakers
Specs from both manufacturer datasheets Updated Sep 9, 2026
The KEF LS50 is my overall pick, though only just: it takes sound quality by a hair, and the margins that decide this comparison are thin almost everywhere. Buy the Dali Zensor 5 if you want real low end without adding a subwoofer. Two 5.25 inch woofers in an 825 mm cabinet ported at 44 Hz give it deep, precise bass, and it takes bass response by a clear margin over the smaller box.

Built from both structured spec sheets. The delta chip sits on the winning side; rows with no defensible winner carry no chip.
A higher sensitivity figure means the same loudness from less amplifier power. Values come from each manufacturer datasheet.

Verdict
The KEF LS50 is my overall pick, though only just: it takes sound quality by a hair, and the margins that decide this comparison are thin almost everywhere.
Buy the Dali Zensor 5 if you want real low end without adding a subwoofer. Two 5.25 inch woofers in an 825 mm cabinet ported at 44 Hz give it deep, precise bass, and it takes bass response by a clear margin over the smaller box. Its 88 dB sensitivity and 30 to 150 W amp range also leave you a little more room to play with when matching an amplifier. It edges the value ranking too, which I think is fair, since it plays above the class it sits in. Give it a couple of weeks of playing time before you judge the highs, because they opened up noticeably for me after break-in.
Buy the KEF LS50 if accuracy matters more to you than weight. It takes midrange clarity, treble detail and design, all by narrow margins, and it puts voices and wind instruments in front of you with an intimacy the larger cabinet does not reach. The 302 mm cabinet suits a smaller room, and with 85 dB sensitivity, an 8 ohm load and a 25 to 100 W range it deserves a thoughtfully matched amplifier rather than the biggest one you own. The trade is low frequency reach, so plan on a subwoofer for film nights. It will also expose every weak link ahead of it, which is a gift if your sources are good and a nuisance if they are not.
