Buy the Klipsch RP-8000F if you listen mostly to vocals, acoustic music and dialogue heavy films, and if you want the most speaker for your money. The midrange is the cleaner of the two here, with voices and instrument timbre that firm up further when I bi-amp, and the horn tweeter still gives the highs plenty of air. The 135 dB max SPL is the practical difference in a large or open room, where it will carry a party or a big action mix without sounding pressed. On design it wins by a clear margin, helped by the magnetic grill covers and feet that keep it planted, and on value the margin is just as clear.

Take the RP-8000F II if deep bass and treble detail are what you chase. Its lows go lower and hit harder while staying tight rather than muddy, which suits electronic music, hip hop and modern film soundtracks, and the published 32 Hz port tuning and 5-way binding posts tell you exactly what you are wiring into. The highs are the more detailed of the pair too, crisp at volume without breaking up. Two cautions before you commit: that brightness can grate if you prefer a warmer balance, and value is the weaker part of its case, so I would want it discounted. Its bulk also asks for space, which rules it out of the tightest rooms.
