It takes bass response by a clear margin, and that bass is deep and precise rather than merely big, enough that I would try running it without a subwoofer in the chain at all. The treble edge over its stablemate is narrow but real, and the midrange stays engaging at low volume, which matters in a room where you cannot open the taps. Two caveats from my listening: give it a couple of weeks to settle, because the highs sound a little flat at first, and feed it a good source, because compressed streams hold it back in a way that proper files do not. At 50 lb and 825 mm, this is the shorter, denser pair of the two.

Buy the Spektor 6 if the speakers are doing double duty for film and music, or if the sofa is not centred. Its off-axis behaviour holds up well away from the sweet spot, and it drops into a multichannel setup without complaint. The measured edge is small but it exists: 109 dB max SPL against 108 dB, and 88.5 dB sensitivity against 88 dB, so it will go a fraction louder on the same amplifier. At 972 mm tall and 30.4 lb it is the taller and much lighter cabinet, so it is easy to move, which you will want to do, because it needs clear space behind it or the low end turns boomy. Give it a capable amplifier within the 30 to 150 W window and it rewards the effort with a warm, unfatiguing sound that holds together across genres.
