Vocals and acoustic guitar sit forward and vivid, and the top end places cymbals and string harmonics right at the front of the stage without turning shrill. It leads on midrange clarity and treble detail by a clear margin, and it edges ahead on sound quality overall, though that last gap is slim enough that I would not decide on it alone. It is bright by nature, so it rewards good recordings and a room you can treat a little. The 8 Ω load and 88 dB sensitivity also make it an easy match for an older receiver, which is how I would run it.

Buy the Dali Oberon 3 if you want the fuller, easier listen and the better deal. The 7 inch mid-woofer and 47 Hz to 26 kHz response give it the stronger bass response of the two by a clear margin, well integrated rather than boomy, though a subwoofer still helps in the bottom octaves.
