Dali Oberon 1 vs KEF LS50: which should you buy?

It is the more revealing of the two by a wide margin, and it is the one I would put in front of a good amplifier and well-recorded material, because it hands back exactly what you feed it: a wide, precisely placed soundstage, voices and wind instruments rendered with unusual clarity, and treble that stays sharp without turning brittle. That transparency cuts both ways, so a weak source or a tired amp will be obvious, and it wants real time spent on placement and toe-in. Accept those two conditions and you get performance that embarrasses speakers costing considerably more, backed by a 5 year warranty against the Dali's 3.
