The Dali Zensor 7 is my pick. It takes sound quality and treble detail by a clear margin and stays ahead on bass, midrange and value as well, which makes the choice straightforward for most rooms. Buy the Dali Zensor 7 if the music matters more than the furniture.

Verdict
The Dali Zensor 7 is my pick. It takes sound quality and treble detail by a clear margin and stays ahead on bass, midrange and value as well, which makes the choice straightforward for most rooms.
Buy the Dali Zensor 7 if the music matters more than the furniture. Two 7 inch woofers and a 40 Hz port tuning give it a low end that stayed full and dry in my listening without ever turning boomy, and I never felt the need to add a subwoofer for orchestral material or home theater use. At 90 dB sensitivity and a 110 dB maximum it has headroom to spare in a large room, and the 40 to 150 W amp range means a mid powered integrated will drive it happily. It leads on sound quality and treble detail by a clear margin, and takes bass, midrange and value by narrower ones. The 5 year warranty is a useful backstop on a speaker this size.
Buy the Dali Spektor 2 if the room is small to medium and the speaker has to live on a shelf or a pair of stands without dominating the space. It wins on design by a clear margin, and at 292 mm and 9.3 lb it is the one I would put in a bedroom, a desk system or a second setup. The 5.25 inch woofer starts at 54 Hz, so budget for a subwoofer if you want the bottom octave, and the 84.5 dB sensitivity asks for a capable amplifier rather than a cheap one. Within those limits I found vocals precise and the highs detailed without fatigue, though a bright recording can tip them slightly forward.
